The iPhone 7 is a pretty powerful device. No, actually, it’s one of the most powerful Apple devices of the moment, especially if we’re referring to the manufacturer’s mobile gadgets. Back in September, during the launch, it was presented as ‘the fastest iPhone yet’ and we can totally relate, since it moves really quickly. However, there are a lot of users who are dealing with slow performances and lag.
Don’t worry guys, we got you all covered. Below you can find a few tips on how to make your iPhone 7 faster. Simple as that. Let’s begin.

1. Close all your apps running in the background
This is basically a no-brainer, but if you are running a lot of apps in the background, they will take a lot of RAM, making your iPhone 7 go sluggish. And when you open a ‘RAM-hungry’ app, like Facebook, for example, things will get worse.
Simply double-tap the Home button, to bring up all the apps currently running in the background and swipe up to turn them off. You will notice a huge performance improvement.
2. Give it a restart
Yeah, you never would’ve thought about this. Believe it or not, a simple restart might do the trick. By this, some apps can be wiped out and the storage will be extended. Just hold the Sleep button from the right side until the Power Off slider appears and turn it off, the power it on back again.
3. Delete unused apps and/or games
What if we told you that some apps, even though you don’t use them that often anymore, consume a lot of resources, like CPU and so on. This happens due to the background refresh or notifications, making your phone slow.
In order to make your iPhone 7 run faster, get rid of them. Just press the icon of the app or game you want to delete until it starts to wobble and an “X” appears in the top-left corner. Click on it and poof, the app is gone and your phone runs better.
4. Turn off Auto-Update and Background App Refresh
Tech fans all over the world know that these automated features are to blame for slowing down phones, including the iPhone 7. But hey, there’s some good news! You can always disable these features to make your iPhone 7 faster and even improve batter life.
Just head over to Settings > iTunes & App Store and turn off Automatic Downloads. Then, go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Turn it off as well and thank us later.
5. Turn down graphics
Ok, now this a bit of an advanced tip, but it can definitely make your iPhone 7 faster. Here’s what you need to do…
From the Settings Menu, head over to General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion and set this option to ON, turning off the parallax effect of icons and alerts.
After this, go to General > Accessibility > Increase Contrast and set Reduce Transparency to ON, in order to disable background effects.
