Top 10 Best Galaxy Note 7 Alternatives You Can Buy

Loved Note 7? Here are the best alternatives.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is already history. After more and more units started catching fire – including those that were considered safe – the South Korean manufacturer decided to stop the production and advised owners to power off the devices immediately and head over to the nearest Samsung dealer and get a refund or a replacement.

Of course, this is terrible news for Samsung, but other manufacturers are rubbing their hands, this being the perfect chance to show that their phablets are also very good, being very reliable alternatives to the Galaxy Note 7. And this is exactly what we’re talking about today!

Below you can find a short list with five of the best phablets on the market, which, in our opinion, are the best Samsung Galaxy Note 7 alternatives.

1. iPhone 7 Plus

Well, it was pretty obvious that Apple’s 5.5” handset would make it to this top, since it was basically the Galaxy Note 7’s main competitor.

Yes, at a first look, it doesn’t pack that much processing power, but let’s not forget that we’re talking about a completely different operating system, iOS 10, which works flawlessly. If you’re ready to switch sides, the iPhone 7 Plus could be an excellent alternative! We would get it just to try that dual camera setup…

2. Google Pixel XL

Google’s recently-introduced Pixel XL comes with a 5.5” display, just like the iPhone 7 Plus, and even though it’s a bit smaller than the Note 7, you will barely notice the difference. According to the search-engine giant (and many reviewers), it’s pretty much the best Android handset money can buy right now.

The camera received a DxOMark rating of 89, the biggest one yet received by a phone, while under the hood it packs a top notch configuration.

3. Huawei Mate 9

Even though it’s still not launched, the Huawei Mate 9 is definitely an insanely interesting Samsung Galaxy Note 7 alternative. It’s expected to come in two variants, the most interesting featuring a 5.9” curved display, similar to the Galaxy S7 edge, as well as a dual-camera setup on the back, with two 20 MP sensors and f/2.0 aperture, certified by Leica.

There aren’t exact details about the price, but the handset should make its debut on November 3. Until then, we can only consider it a very hot prospect!

4. OnePlus 3

Launched a few months ago, the OnePlus 3 is another great alternative to Samsung’s faulty Galaxy Note 7. It has a 5.5” display and it’s powered by the almighty Snapdragon 820, alongside – get ready for this – 6 GB of RAM. Sure, it doesn’t have a stylus or an iris scanner, but let’s not forget that one of the main selling points of this handset is the operating system.

It’s running OxygenOS, the manufacturer’s own software, based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Basically, it’s stock Android with a few extra goodies. Oh, and maybe the price tag will convince you: just $399.

5. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Of course, this list would have been incomplete without the Galaxy S7 Edge, which very similar to the Note 7. Yeah, you don’t get a stylus and a 5.7” display, but let’s be serious, since it has a 5.5” display instead, you will barely notice the difference.

And it’s also cheaper, allowing you to save nearly $200 less if not more. Samsung announced that anybody who opts to return the faulty Note 7 and opt for the S7 Edge will get a refund for the difference, as well as a $250-100 gift card from carriers.

And there you have it guys, five of the best Samsung Galaxy Note 7 alternatives, in our opinion. If we had to choose just one specific model, we would go for the S7 Edge, even though that Google Pixel XL is so damn tempting, but it’s the price that’s making us have mixed feelings.

The Galaxy S7 Edge it’s not that much of a different device. It’s powerful, it has a great camera and it looks good. And it won’t explode, that is.
